Original Logo
This was our first logo.
Late in 1970, a group of male volleyball enthusiasts with varying backgrounds formed the Charleston Volleyball Club. In 1988, we started West Virginia's First USAV Junior Olympic team.
Starting in 2002 we restarted the Junior Olympic program to share our experience of playing to teach the next generation of players.
At the beginning of 2017 we changed our name to Appalachian Volleyball Academy. This started a new chapter of our history allowed us to refocus on our original philosophy of performance improvement through a well-defined and coordinated training program.
The goal of the Appalachian Volleyball Academy’s Junior Olympic program is to enhance the skill level of its members by providing opportunities for quality instruction/training and the experience of high-level competition by participating in USAV, AAU, and other off-season activities.
This was our first logo.
Later on we wanted to add West Virginia around our logo to pay homage to the area we serve.
Our new logo to match out new name.
Our last and current logo we wanted to remember where we came from and where we are going.
